caretakers
Mosiah Santos and his wife Soriah will be the caretakers
for this season. Please give them your support.
Please understand our caretakers are not part of the management of Sourdough Ranch. We have had several
instances in the past years where Ranch members or their guest have taken out their frustrations on them or expect them
to make a management decision. They can not make any decisions concerning the Ranch. Each weekend there are two
board members on duty. Their names will be posted at the cabin. If you have any problems whatsoever, they are your point of
contact not our caretakers. Again, please do not take out your frustrations on our caretakers.
Remember to pick up your gate key's this
week at the office. The Ranch is switching to key entry on the main gate on May 1st
NOTICE
– NEW KEY ENTRY SYSTEM
This is to notify all
Members that we are going to a KEY entry system instead of the old combination lock for entry to the Ranch. We will be setting up specific dates in the near future as to when you can come in to sign for your two
(2) keys per membership. The first two keys will be issued at no cost once your
annual dues are paid in full. Any lost or misplaced keys will be issued at a
cost of $150.00 per key. Any Member that is selling their membership is required
to turn in their keys at the office or pay the $150.00 per key at the time of sale.
The main gate will be kept locked at all times this year (24/7). You and
your guest will still be required to sign in at the Cabin.
PROOF OF OWNERSHIP
Please submit your proof of ownership
for any new ATVs or let us know if you have sold any. If you have any questions
please contact the office and we will verify what we have on file for you. Please
try to purchase your ATV Stickers and Fish Permits at the Office or by mail if possible.
They will still be available at the Cabin.
Gold Fish
To the Individual or individuals that put the Gold Fish in our ponds…….. Not only have you disrupted
the ecology of our ponds that are managed for fishing, not the raising of tropical fish. But they were noticed by the state
biologist in charge of our license’s to plant fish, and may jeopardize our ability to offer fishing on the ranch in
the future. Introducing fish to a body of water without State authorization is against the law in UTAH. The penalty for doing
so, as taken directly from the D.N.R’S Website is
• A three-year license revocation for anyone who’s caught transporting live fish. • A $1,000 fine
for individuals who move live fish. • A $2,500 fine for individuals who illegally stock fish.
Sourdough is NOT the place to dispose of unwanted pets or farm animals. The ecosystem on the ranch can easily be disrupted
and the Wildlife we enjoy decimated by these thoughtless acts. Anyone with information regarding this please contact the office.
Thank you
