ATV Info

Snowmobile Info
Sourdough highly recommends carrying a beacon, having a shovel and wearing a helmet  when riding snowmobiles on the property to help with rescue in the event of an accident or getting lost.

ATTENTION SNOWMOBILERS:

Starting in the fall of 2013 all snowmobilers are required to purchase a season pass to place in the windshield of their vehicles while they are snowmobiling.  The passes can be purchased at the office for $25.00 per season.  Please sign in at the Cabin and place the pass in your windshield.

ATV Info

When you drive your ATV’s on the Ranch please stay on the roads or the ATV track. Do not go off road or make new trails. Do not go around the gates and trespass in the surrounding areas (Evergreen, Sun Ridge and Beaver Creek). If you do and get caught you will lose your ATV privileges and could lose your Ranch privileges. Be good neighbors and keep the noise and dust down by driving at slower speeds through the camp areas.

ATV REGULATIONS

ALL owners who want to use ATV’s on Sourdough Ranch MUST register their ATV’s each year and receive a new numbered sticker that must be affixed so it can be seen on the REAR of the ATV. This must be done each year prior to your using the ATV on the Ranch.

ATV TAGS

All ATV tags must be purchased at the main office.  We sent a message out with your statements letting you know how many and what ATVs we show that you have provided documentation to us (proof of ownership).  If what we show and what you actually have is not correct please let us know so that we can update our files.  ATV tags will only be available at the Office they will not be available for purchase at the Cabin.  Members who have mailed in the dues may either pick-up their tags at the Office or at the Cabin once we have officially opened for the season.

A fee of $10 per ATV will be charged to owners for the privilege of riding an ATV on Sourdough. An owner must show proof that the ATV is registered in their name. (NO GUEST ATV’S ARE ALLOWED). The owner agrees to abide by all the rules and policies that apply to riding an ATV on Sourdough Ranch. The yearly registration and $10 fee can be paid with the yearly dues.

ATV’S ON THE RANCH:

We are fast approaching the limits set forth for the number of ATV’s that can be registered on the Ranch. Remember only owners can bring their ATV’s on the Ranch. All ATV’s have to be registered and have a displayed decal for use on the Ranch. Remember currently up to four (4) ATV’s per owner (subject to change by Trustees) can be used on the Ranch. Children under 18 years old must wear a helmet(D.O.T. approved helmets are suggested) ; only two (2) people on an ATV at one time; observe the speed limits – 20 MPH main roads 5 MPH in site areas. We still get complaints concerning ATV abuse.

ATV REGISTRATION:

It has been recommended that if you own an ATV and wish to ride it on Sourdough, you pay for ATV Registration Fee along with your dues. If you do pay with your dues, stickers will not be mailed to you but can be picked up at the Cabin after May. Whenever or wherever you register your ATV, PROOF of ownership must be provided.

Each year more ATV’s are being used on the Ranch.  Just remember this is a privilege and to retain this privilege we must register our ATV’s, abide by the regulations that pertain to their use on the Ranch and NOT SPEED.

Please either call the Office in advance to verify that we have your proof of ownership on file or bring/mail in a copy of your proof of ownership for your ATVs.  We are verifying ownership of ALL ATVs no matter how long you have been registering them.

ATV TRAINING COURSE

Online licensing with Utah State Parks.

Sourdough is still encouraging the youth from 8-16 years old to complete an ATV safety class.  However, in order to get a state ATV license, the student now needs to go online with Utah State Parks to take the written test.

ATV SAFETY CLASSES:

Vince Longfellow has volunteered to do a FREE ATV class this spring for children ages 8-15 years old.  Class size is limited.  It will be held on Saturday June 22, 2013.  There will be a morning and an afternoon class.  Please call the office to give Debbie your information and then Vince will call you back with the details of the class.  Each rider will receive something special upon completion of the class.
